Finding this particular house in Palm Springs - it had a unique quality that was more comfortable and welcoming than a more typical mid-century home. Designed by the architect William Codey it was a step away from the stark designs typical to the area. This house featured extensive overhanging trellises to soften the light entering the house. Quartzite floors and low slung, white-washed plank and beam ceilings and white stucco walls ran throughout the house. The home lent itself to casual and comfortable furniture and textural, neutral colors complimented with modern artwork and ethnic baskets and crafts.
